BEIJING, October 23 (Xinhua) — China's express delivery sector handled 145.08 billion parcels in the first nine months of 2025, up 17.2 percent year-on-year, according to data released by the State Post Administration (SPA) on Thursday.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office, during the reporting period, the country's postal industry, including express delivery services, processed a total of 158.26 billion parcels, a 15 percent increase year-on-year.

From January to September 2025, the total revenue of the country's postal industry amounted to more than 1.31 trillion yuan (about 184.72 billion US dollars), an increase of 7.7 percent year-on-year.

In particular, of this amount, the operating income of the express delivery sector accounted for almost 1.09 trillion yuan, with an increase of 8.9 percent year-on-year.

In January-September of this year, the volume of express delivery operations within a single city amounted to 11.87 billion parcels, which is 4.3 percent more than a year earlier, while the volume of intercity shipments increased by 18.6 percent, amounting to 130.17 billion parcels. -0-
