MANILA, October 19 (Xinhua) — Eight people have been killed and two are missing after Tropical Storm Fengshen made landfall in the Philippines on Sunday, the Office of Civil Defense reported.
Five people were killed when a tree fell on them in Pitogo municipality in Quezon province, southeast of Manila, and three others were killed in the Western Visayas region in the central part of the country, agency spokesperson Juni Castillo said.
A search is underway for two people missing after a landslide in Quezon Municipality in Bukidnon Province in the southern Philippines, according to J. Castillo. –0–
