BEIJING, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) — State Councilor Shen Yiqin, chairwoman of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), called on members of the federation to fulfill their duties and strive to promote high-quality development of women's affairs.
Speaking at the WFW meeting via video link, Shen Yiqin said the Global Women's Summit, which was held in Beijing from October 13 to 14, marked a new milestone in advancing women's development worldwide.
She called on the WFW to create a favorable environment to promote the comprehensive development of women, establish platforms to support their active participation in promoting high-quality development, and improve governance to protect their legitimate rights and interests.
Shen Yiqin added that concrete measures must be taken to advance the development of global women's affairs and promote the building of a community with a shared future for humanity. -0-
