Baku, October 17 (Xinhua) — The National Urban Development Forum of Azerbaijan (NUFA3) concluded in Baku on Friday. Representatives of governments and international organizations, as well as experts and scientists, shared their experiences in creating climate-resilient and healthy cities, exchanged innovative solutions, and called for the development of regional and international cooperation.
Speaking at the forum, Cao Jinbiao, a representative of the Ministry of Housing, Urban-Rural Development, noted that China has created the world's largest housing system, and the government is actively promoting the construction of safe, comfortable, green, and smart housing. "China is ready to share its accumulated experience with the international community, contributing to the development of affordable housing worldwide," he emphasized.
In his address to the forum's participants, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated that the ongoing discussions will be of particular importance for the implementation of strategic initiatives in the areas of urban planning, restoration, and sustainable development, and will contribute to the creation of a greener, more inclusive, and more prosperous living environment for future generations.
