BEIJING, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) — The 2025 Northeast Asian eSports Festival (Mudanjiang) will be held in Mudanjiang, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, from Oct. 17 to 19, bringing together top players from China, Russia, Japan, and the Republic of Korea, local media reported.
As Northeast Asia's first international eSports tournament dedicated to the charm of "cold climate cultural tourism," the festival utilizes eSports as a bridge between digital content development, technology exchange, and youth culture.
In addition to the main competitive program, the tournament also includes a number of additional events, including celebrity meet-and-greets and forums on the development of esports.
During the event, Mudanjiang University, together with Vladivostok State University, Russia, held an eSports tournament between Chinese and Russian universities, offering eSports fans the chance to experience the high standards of global eSports and unlock their potential.
The festival is held under the guidance of the National Cyber Sports Development Research Institute of China Media Group, organized by the China Animation Association, and co-organized by Mudanjiang University and CCTV Animation Group. -0-
