The WOW! RUSSIA competition for international students at Russian universities is now open for submissions on social media posts about life and studying in Russia.
This year you can participate in one of four categories:
Education: Studying without filters Tourism and travel: Russia in the frame Culture: Russia between the lines Life: Russia taught
There are no format restrictions: short vertical videos, horizontal videos, and collections of 5-10 photos with accompanying text are accepted.
The main requirement is that the material was published in 2025 on a social network popular in the student's home country and in an official language in the participant's country of citizenship.
Any international student aged 18 or older is eligible to participate. Applications are accepted until November 16 on the competition website or via the Telegram chatbot. Winners will be announced by December 12, 2025.
The authors of the best works in each category will win a trip around Russia as part of the Rosmolodezh program "More Than a Journey," an internship at the regional TASS information center, and participation in an educational media workshop hosted by the National Priorities non-profit organization. All winners will also receive competition-branded merchandise.
