WASHINGTON, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) — U.S. President Donald Trump said on Saturday on the social media platform TruthSocial that he has directed Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to "use all available means" to ensure that military personnel receive paychecks on Oct. 15 amid the ongoing federal government shutdown.
“We have allocated funds for this, and Secretary Hegseth will use them to pay the salaries of our military personnel,” Trump wrote.
