Tashkent, October 11 (Xinhua) — Poultry meat imports into Uzbekistan increased by 14.2 percent in the first eight months of 2025 compared to the same period last year, the country's National Statistics Committee reported on Friday.
“According to preliminary data from the National Statistics Committee, in January-August 2025, Uzbekistan imported 54.6 thousand tons of poultry meat from 16 foreign countries worth $59.1 million,” the statement reads.
It was noted that the volume of imports increased by 6.8 thousand tons, or almost 14.2 percent, compared to the same period last year.
Among poultry meat suppliers, Russia took first place /13.9 thousand tons/, Turkey took second place /9.8 thousand tons/, followed by Belarus with 7 thousand tons. –0–
