Fuzhou, October 11 (Xinhua) — The People's Procuratorate of Quanzhou City, east China's Fujian Province, has indicted three leaders of an organized crime group long based in northern Myanmar. They are suspected of telecommunications fraud, the deliberate murder of Chinese citizens, and other charges.

The Quanzhou City People's Procuratorate recently transferred the case against Wei Huairen (known internationally as "Wai San") and others to the Quanzhou City Intermediate People's Court, charging them with crimes that also include extortion and organizing illegal border crossings.

According to the prosecutor's office, the criminal case against the suspects was initiated in accordance with the provisions of the Criminal Code and the Criminal Procedure Code of the People's Republic of China. -0-
