Haiyang, Shandong Province, October 11 (Xinhua) — China on Saturday launched the Gravity-1 carrier rocket into space from waters off the coast of Haiyang City, Shandong Province, eastern China. Three satellites on board were successfully placed into their designated orbits.

The Gravity-1 launch vehicle lifted off at 10:20 Beijing time under the control of the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center.

The launch vehicle carried the Jilin-1 Kuanfu 02B07 satellite and two experimental satellites.
