BEIJING, October 10 (Xinhua) — A magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck the Philippines at 9:43 a.m. Beijing time today, the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC) reported.

According to the center, the earthquake's epicenter was located at 7.55 degrees north latitude and 127 degrees east longitude. The source of the tremors was located at a depth of 50 kilometers.
