KABUL, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) — Two powerful explosions rocked the center of Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, at around 9:50 p.m. local time (17:20 GMT) on Thursday.
The shockwave from the explosions was felt at the Xinhua correspondent's residence. Many Kabul residents reported hearing the blasts on social media, and some residents and foreigners sought shelter in safe locations.
