BEIJING, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) — The number of inter-regional passenger trips nationwide reached 2.433 billion during the eight-day National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays from Oct. 1 to 8, 2025, the Ministry of Transport said Thursday.
From October 1 to 8, an average of 304 million interregional passenger trips were made daily across the country, a 6.3 percent increase compared to the same period last year and a new all-time high.
During the holidays, the country saw a boom in travel such as mini-group tours, family tours, and independent road trips, the Ministry of Transport of China reported. -0-
