Cairo, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) — A delegation from the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) arrived in Egypt on Sunday to prepare for talks with the Egyptian side in the Red Sea city of Sharm el-Sheikh on Monday, Egyptian sources told Xinhua.
The two sides will hold talks to implement the first phase of US President Donald Trump's Gaza ceasefire plan, according to informed sources.
The talks will focus on the details of implementing the first phase of the plan, sources told Xinhua, adding that key points of discussion are expected to include a prisoner exchange mechanism between Hamas and Israel, as well as the process for transferring its weapons to Hamas.
