BEIJING, Oct. 5 (Xinhua) — Chinese police have filed and investigated more than 14,000 criminal cases related to intellectual property rights (IPR) infringement and the production and sale of counterfeit or substandard goods since the beginning of 2025, the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) said on Sunday.
During the reporting period, according to the Ministry of Defense, several criminal gangs were neutralized across the country, and the activities of a number of interregional criminal chains involved in the production of the above-mentioned products were also stopped.
The ministry added that in recent years, in accordance with the unified plan of the Ministry of Public Safety, public security agencies across the country have been fully implementing their functions, persistently combating, in accordance with the law, all forms of violation of intellectual property rights, as well as the production and sale of counterfeit or low-quality goods. -0-
