Minsk, September 30 (Xinhua) — Belarus sees the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) as serious players in creating a just, multipolar world order. This was stated by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on Tuesday at a meeting with the heads of government delegations participating in the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and the CIS Council of Heads of Government. The corresponding information was published by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The Belarusian leader noted that the global majority strives for cooperation based on the principles of equality and mutual respect, without dictates and threats, illegal restrictions and coercion. This was confirmed by the recent Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in China.
"Belarus sees the CIS and the EAEU as serious participants in the process of creating a just, multipolar world order. Essentially, the EAEU and the CIS have created a multi-level mechanism for regional cooperation aimed at aligning integration processes," noted Alexander Lukashenko.
In his opinion, the CIS should establish itself as an authoritative and influential organization, effectively promoting the strengthening of equal relations in the political and humanitarian spheres. The EAEU, in turn, should become a model for building strong economic ties based on the principles of openness and mutual benefit.
A. Lukashenko assured that Belarus will continue to actively promote the strengthening of partnerships between countries and the development of integration in all forms. –0–
