On the instructions of the President, the Government continues to provide support to residents of border areas. A resolution was signed to extend the deferment of payment of transport and land taxes, as well as property tax for individuals for citizens living in certain areas of the Kursk Region.

The decision applies to taxes due in 2024 and 2025. They can be paid until December 1, 2026.

The deferment is granted to citizens whose place of residence as of August 1, 2024, was the border territory of the Kursk region or the territory of the Kursk region where a counter-terrorism operation regime has been introduced and a decision has been made to resettle residents.

On the instructions of the President, a whole range of support measures have been envisaged in border regions, including the provision of subsidies to organizations and individual entrepreneurs for partial compensation of expenses for paying employees for forced downtime, an annual deferment of taxes and insurance premiums for organizations, grants for the restoration or relocation of production, the supply of vehicles for mobile trade, benefits for equipment leasing, and free economic zones with special conditions for entrepreneurial activity.
