TAIYUAN, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) — The total number of freight trains sent from north China's Shanxi Province on the China-Europe international freight train service has exceeded 1,000 since the service was launched, according to Huayuan International Land Port Group Co.

A train loaded with 55 containers of household appliances departed Datong, Shanxi Province, on Friday for Moscow, becoming the 1,000th freight train departing from the province since the launch of China-Europe freight services, and the 110th China-Europe train departing from Shanxi since the beginning of this year.

The train will cross the state border at the Manzhouli checkpoint in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of Northern China and is expected to arrive in Moscow in 15 days.

Currently, Shanxi Province has 26 regular routes connecting 48 major cities in 17 countries in Asia and Europe. This network facilitates the entry of local goods into international markets and attracts high-quality resources from various countries, thereby providing a powerful impetus to the province's transformation into a new platform for opening up in China's continental interior.
