BEIJING, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) — A press conference on cultural and tourism development was held in Jiamusi, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, on Wednesday, announcing events for the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day.
According to the Jiamusi City Government website, this event not only opened up new opportunities for autumn cultural tourism in Jiamusi, but also sincerely invited tourists from all over the world to visit through a variety of products and special promotions.
Xu Bin, an official from the Jiamusi City Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, said at a press conference that the event focuses on three key areas: tourism products, exchanges with Russia, and consumption promotion, creating a new backdrop for autumn cultural tourism.
In terms of deepening cooperation with Russia in tourism, building on the visa-free policy for Russian travelers, seven measures were introduced to attract visitors to Jiamusi, including special tourist routes, educational products, and incentives in tourist areas. At the same time, related services, such as currency exchange and multilingual services, were improved to stimulate Russian tourists' interest in cross-border cultural tourism.
Zhao Daohui, deputy general manager of Jiamusi Cultural Tourism Investment Group, said that the event is held under the theme of deep integration of “cultural tourism in all industries,” covering more than 70 activities in the fields of culture, commerce, sports, and tourism.
Regarding the development of cultural tourism in Fuyuan, Zhang Hetong, Deputy Director of the Fuyuan City Department of Culture, Sports, Radio, Television, and Tourism, reported that Fuyuan has created special educational projects, such as visits to the Dongjige Pavilion and Heixiazidao Island, and four exclusive itineraries. Tourists can take a boat cruise, participate in the provincial football league, and participate in events in a special exhibition zone to experience the full appeal of the combination of sports and cultural tourism.
