Sofia, September 26 (Xinhua) — A delegation led by Yang Wanming, Chairman of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), concluded a five-day visit to Romania and Bulgaria, with all sides pledging to strengthen friendship and deepen cooperation.
During the trip, Yang Wanming held meetings with officials from the governments, parliaments, and friendly organizations of both countries.
He also delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the conference on urban and regional cooperation, organized on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the signing of the cooperation document under the Belt and Road Initiative between China and Bulgaria.
All parties expressed their commitment to implementing the important consensus reached between Chinese President Xi Jinping and the leaders of Romania and Bulgaria. They also pledged to strengthen people-to-people friendship, deepen practical cooperation, intensify cultural and youth exchanges, and contribute to the continued development of relations between China and Central and Eastern European countries.
