Beijing, September 25 (Xinhua) — China has added three American companies – Saronic Technologies, Aerkomm, and Oceaneering International – to its list of unreliable entities. The Ministry of Commerce announced this on Thursday.
As the agency's official representative noted in a statement, in recent years these companies, ignoring China's strong objections, have been carrying out so-called military-technical cooperation with Taiwan, which seriously undermines China's national sovereignty, security, and development interests.
According to the statement, China has taken legal action against the three companies in accordance with its domestic laws and regulations for their illegal activities.
The official emphasized that China always takes a measured approach to issues related to the list of unreliable entities and applies appropriate measures to a very small number of foreign entities that undermine China's national security.
“For honest and law-abiding foreign economic entities, there is absolutely no reason to worry,” he said.
