BEIJING, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) — The Central Asian Branch of the Beijing Arbitration Commission (BAC) officially opened in Karamay, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, on Tuesday, the BAC's official website reported.

As the first branch of the PAC located outside of Beijing, the new organization aims to continuously improve the mechanism of international arbitration services, optimize the rules of adjudication and the arbitration process, and enhance the efficiency of relevant services.

As noted at the opening ceremony, the Central Asian branch of the PAK will provide professional arbitration services to resolve disputes in trade and economic cooperation between China and Central Asia.

The Karamay city administration will support the Central Asian branch of the PAK in cross-border arbitration cooperation, training specialists, and strengthening cooperation with legal institutions in Central Asian countries, announced Vice Mayor Zhao Lijun.

As a reminder, the PAC, founded in 1995, is one of the first arbitration institutions in China established under the Arbitration Law of the People's Republic of China. It not only provides high-quality and professional arbitration services to its participants but also showcases the achievements of Chinese arbitration practice to the world through research, educational activities, and international exchange, according to the commission's website.
