Specialists from the city's economy complex have begun workheat supply in the capital's buildings. The phased process of turning on heating will take several days. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing, Utilities, and Public Works Petr Biryukov.
"Due to the drop in average daily outside temperatures, at the direction of the Moscow Mayor, we have begun switching the heating system to winter mode. Social institutions, including schools, kindergartens, hospitals, and clinics, will be the first to receive heat. At the same time, we will begin turning on heating in residential buildings and office buildings, followed by retail and industrial establishments," noted Pyotr Biryukov.
The heating system will be supplied in stages. Heating will be restored to all city facilities within a few days.
All systems and heating networks are fully prepared for heating. More than 74,000 facilities, including over 34,000 residential buildings, have been prepared for the autumn-winter period. All work was completed on schedule.
From May to September, specialists conducted hydraulic and temperature tests of the heating networks. This helped identify vulnerable areas early and perform repairs. These measures will ensure uninterrupted heat supply to consumers during the upcoming season.
