In the Shcherbinka district of the Novomoskovsky Administrative Okrug, construction has been completed on a new 400-seat building for School No. 2122 named after Hero of the Soviet Union O.A. Yurasov. The project was implemented as part of the capital's Targeted Investment Program. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction. "The school building is located at 25 Mestechko Baryshi Street. It was constructed in two phases. The main 700-student academic building was completed in 2023. The four-story building, including a basement, has a total area of over 12,000 square meters and was constructed in accordance with modern standards and student needs. The new academic building, built on the site of the demolished old building, exceeds 5,000 square meters in area. It is designed to accommodate 400 students. It is connected to the main building by a heated walkway on the second floor. Thanks to the construction of the new building, the capacity of School No. 2122 has increased to 1,100 students, and the total area of the institution has exceeded 17,000 square meters," said Vladimir Efimov.
The three-story building includes spaces for senior classes, creative arts, and sports. Students and teachers have access to general-purpose and specialized classrooms, laboratory and research facilities, recreation areas, and other spaces.
"The school now houses a media library, an event hall, a sports and gymnasium, workshops, a chess club room, and an office for an educational psychologist. The new academic building provides all the conditions for research activities. Students study 3D modeling, robotics, and programming at the IT training ground. The building's facades are made of suspended gray porcelain stoneware panels and clinker ceramics. They are adorned with decorative elements of perforated metal reminiscent of tree branches, seamlessly integrating the school into the surrounding Baryshi Park," noted the head of the Moscow Department of Civil Construction.
The area around the building has been improved: playgrounds for active games and activities have been created, trees and shrubs have been planted, lawns have been laid out, a sports area has been equipped, and hardscape features have been installed.

During this period, committee inspectors conducted a total of 11 on-site inspections: six at the 700-student school building and five at the construction site of the 400-student building. During the final inspections, conclusions were issued on the facilities' compliance with the approved design documentation.
The school is located in Baryshi Park, which features walking areas and sports fields. Picturesque views create an inspiring atmosphere for learning and creativity. For safety, video surveillance, fire alarms, and evacuation management systems are installed, along with a security guard post.
