Moscow, September 23 (Xinhua) — The night of September 23 in Moscow was record-breaking warm, breaking the 1953 record. This was reported on Tuesday by RIA Novosti, citing Yevgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center.
"The nighttime minimum temperature record for September 23 in Moscow has been broken. It had stood since 1953, when the thermometer showed 12.9 degrees Celsius at dusk," the weather forecaster wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to him, the minimum temperature at the VDNKh weather station in Moscow last night was 16.6 degrees Celsius. In central Moscow, it was 18 degrees Celsius. This is 10 degrees above the climate norm and even warmer than midsummer nighttime temperatures.
