JERUSALEM, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) — The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement on Saturday that its air force struck about 100 targets in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours.

The statement said the targets included underground infrastructure facilities, weapons depots and combat cells.

At the same time, IDF ground forces expanded operations in Gaza City, destroying military infrastructure, including tunnels, mined buildings, Hamas operational facilities, and sniper positions.

According to the IDF, troops found weapons and eliminated Hamas military wing militants in the area.

The Israeli army also reported the destruction of military infrastructure and the elimination of militants in the northern and southern Gaza Strip, including Khan Younis and Rafah.
