From September 16 to 17, the 10th International Forum on the Kuzupchi Desert was held in Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. This year's forum theme was "Scientific Sand Management and Green Development." Participants reached the "Consensus of the 10th International Forum on the Kuzupchi Desert" and published the "Initiative for a China-Central Asia Partnership to Combat Desertification" and the "Initiative for Global Desertification Monitoring and Digital Governance."
The consensus emphasizes that combating desertification is not only a matter of ecological restoration but also a matter of human dignity. Through keynote speeches, thematic presentations, dialogues, exchanges, and field visits, the forum showcased scientific concepts, practical measures, achievements, and promising prospects for China's comprehensive desertification control and the promotion of the "Shelterbelt Forests in China's Three Northern Regions" project in the new era.
