From September 16 to 17, the 10th International Forum on the Kuzupchi Desert was held in Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. This year's forum theme was "Scientific Sand Management and Green Development." Participants reached the "Consensus of the 10th International Forum on the Kuzupchi Desert" and published the "Initiative for a China-Central Asia Partnership to Combat Desertification" and the "Initiative for Global Desertification Monitoring and Digital Governance."

The consensus emphasizes that combating desertification is not only a matter of ecological restoration but also a matter of human dignity. Participants advocate for respect for nature and a scientific approach to combating desertification, insisting on the comprehensive protection and systematic management of mountains, waters, forests, fields, lakes, grasses, and sands, combining the protection of natural ecosystems and the restoration of degraded and desertified lands with the rational use of environmental resources, making every effort to create a new model of harmonious coexistence between people and sands.

The forum focused on topics such as scientific desertification control, technology-based integrated management, protection and sustainable management of steppe ecosystems, and the development of land-friendly businesses. Through keynote speeches, thematic presentations, dialogues, exchanges, and field visits, the forum showcased scientific concepts, practical measures, achievements, and promising prospects for China's comprehensive desertification control and the promotion of the "Shelterbelt Forests in China's Three Northern Regions" project in the new era.
