Minsk, September 18 (Xinhua) — Belarus' gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 1.6 percent in the period from January to August 2025, according to data released by the Belarusian National Statistical Committee (Belstat) on Wednesday.

The country's GDP in current prices for the first eight months of 2025 amounted to 180.1 billion Belarusian rubles, or in comparable prices – 101.6 percent of the level of the same period in 2024.

The GDP deflator index for the period from January to August 2025 compared to the same period of the previous year amounted to 112.3 percent. –0–
