BEIJING, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) — The remains of 30 Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) who died in the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid the Korean People (1950-53) were brought to China from the Republic of Korea on Friday.
A Y-20 military transport plane of the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF), carrying the remains of the deceased soldiers and 267 personal belongings associated with them, landed at Taoxian International Airport in Shenyang, capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province.
Since 2014, China and the ROK have organized 12 consecutive handovers of the remains of the CPV and related artifacts, resulting in a total of 1,011 remains being returned to their homeland. -0-
