A press conference dedicated to the start of the IX season of the All-Russian Student Olympiad was held in Moscow "I am a professional" – draft presidential platform "Russia is a country of opportunity". The All-Russian Student Olympiad "I am a professional" unites the most talented students and makes professionalism a value. The All-Russian Olympiad of Students "I am a Professional" is part of the national project "Youth and Children", launched by the decision of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. The project contributes to the education of a patriotic, highly moral and responsible generation, ensuring the sovereignty, competitiveness and development of the country.
Students of Russian universities studying in any field of study – medical, agricultural, natural sciences, technical and humanitarian – can apply. Participants will have to solve practice-oriented tasks developed by leading universities together with industrial partners of the Olympiad.
In the new season, participants will be able to attend industrial and academic tourism events. Students will be able to visit the sites of the organizing and co-organizing universities in different regions, production facilities and industrial sites – civil aviation plants, nuclear power plants, mining and processing plants, and also see the work of scientific centers and laboratories.
The project unites young people who strengthen Russia's technological leadership: they work in leading companies, develop their own initiatives, and engage in scientific developments. In the IX season, the Olympiad participants will be included in the national personnel reserve "I am a professional".
— The Olympiad "I am a professional" is one of the first projects of the presidential platform "Russia – the land of opportunities". This is not just a competition, but a real social lift for young people: almost one and a half million children were able to realize their potential, enter a master's program without additional tests, find like-minded people and build a successful career. We are especially proud that our participants do not just use opportunities, but create them for others – they themselves become mentors, develop social and educational projects, contribute to the development of their home regions. In the IX season, the Olympiad will cover a wide range of areas: from geography and design to nuclear physics and artificial intelligence. And the project participants will get into the national personnel reserve "I am a professional". I am sure that the new season will become a starting point in the career of students and will help them become part of a large community of professionals, – said the General Director of the presidential platform "Russia – the Land of Opportunities", the rector of the Senezh Management Workshop Andrey Betin.
Participants who complete the selection round tasks will have the opportunity to do an internship and begin their professional career with leading employers in Russia. Project diploma holders will be able to take advantage of benefits when entering the next level of education; medalists will receive cash bonuses of up to 300 thousand rubles.
In 2025/2026, “I am a Professional” will cover 70 subject areas: from geography and design to nuclear physics and artificial intelligence.
— Participants of the Olympiad "I am a professional" consciously choose the path of creation, professional and personal fulfillment. The share of project participants working in their specialty before receiving a diploma has increased by 3.5 times during the Olympiad: from 9% in 2017 to 33% in 2025. Their desire to work, to be useful, to develop advanced industries is the most sincere patriotism. Registration will last until November 11 on the official website of the Olympiad. The qualifying round will be held from November 14 to December 1. The finals in the areas will be held from February to April, and the results will be announced in June.
In 2024/2025, NSU will participate in the qualifying round of the Olympiad 827 students took part, 197 in the final. The top 5 most popular areas for participation among NSU students were Biology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering and Bioinformatics, Chemistry and Mathematics. NSU students showed themselves best in such tracks as Biotechnology, Bioengineering and Bioinformatics, Biology and Ecology. According to the results of the overall medal count, NSU students won three gold and three bronze medals.
The Olympiad "I am a professional" is being implemented within the framework of the federal project "Russia – the country of opportunities" of the national project "Youth and Children" with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia.
