Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed an order to write off part of the debt on budget loans to three more regions. The decision will ease the debt burden on the budget system of the subjects.
We are talking about the Karachay-Cherkess and Chuvash republics, as well as the Orenburg region. The total amount of write-off will be more than 5.8 billion rubles.
The rules for writing off regional debt on budget loans and the list of areas for spending the released funds were approved by the Government in February 2025. Work to ease the debt burden of the regions is being carried out on the instructions of the President, which the head of state gave following his Address to the Federal Assembly in 2024.
Earlier this year, by decisions of the Government of the Russian Federation, the debt on budget loans of 55 entities in the total amount of more than 160.1 billion rubles was written off.
