BEIJING, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) — Two collections of excerpts from General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Xi Jinping's discourses on work related to women, children and families have been published in English by Zhongyang Bianyi Chubanshe Publishing House.
The first collection focuses on work related to women, children and women's federations, while the second focuses on strengthening family ties, values and traditions.
Both books were compiled and translated by the Institute for the Study of Party History and Documentation under the CPC Central Committee.
The English-language editions are being launched ahead of the Global Women's Summit, a gathering of world leaders on gender equality and women's empowerment in Beijing. They are expected to give overseas readers a deeper understanding of Xi's views on relevant issues.
The English-language collections also aim to bring China's wisdom, suggestions and approaches to promoting gender equality and women's all-round development around the world. –0–
