BEIJING, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) — Authorities in Shapingba District of southwest China's Chongqing City and the China-Belarus Great Stone Industrial Park recently agreed to deepen cooperation.
At a presentation of investment opportunities within the framework of the construction of the Belt and Road, which took place last Thursday in the Shapingba district of Chongqing, memorandums of cooperation in the field of cross-border transport and logistics were signed between the administrations of the Chongqing International Logistics Park, Qingfeng High-Tech Park and the China-Belarus Industrial Park, Chinanews.com.cn reports.
As He Huaidong, vice chairman of the people's government of Shapingba District, said at the presentation, freight trains depart from this district on many international freight routes, including China-Europe routes. The railway service connects Shapingba District with more than 120 countries and regions around the world.
In addition, Shapingba District is home to 16 higher education institutions and six state-owned key laboratories specializing in areas such as intelligent new energy connected vehicles, digital software and healthcare.
All this, according to the official, provides intellectual support for cooperation between the Shapingba district and the China-Belarus Industrial Park in the field of high technology.
At the presentation, both sides exchanged views on trade, economic and investment cooperation.
Deputy Head of the Administration of the China-Belarus Industrial Park Sergei Rychenko said that the park will provide investors with favorable conditions for the implementation of projects, including preferential policies, rights to use land plots with fully equipped infrastructure, and rights to lease production facilities.
Belarus welcomes all investors who are ready to create modern high-tech enterprises in this country, said the Consul General of Belarus in Chongqing Dmitry Yemelyanov.
In his opinion, Belarus and China have broad prospects for cooperation in the field of auto parts, machine tool manufacturing, biopharmaceuticals, optics and microelectronics. -0-
