BEIJING, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) — China's victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression not only laid a solid foundation for the Chinese people's liberation cause but also inspired oppressed peoples and colonial and semi-colonial territories to fight for freedom, a report said Friday.
The report, titled “Historical Retrospect, Upholding Justice – The Great Contribution of the Main Theater of War in the East to the World Anti-Fascist War,” was published in Chinese and English by the Xinhua Institute, a think tank affiliated with the news agency of the same name.
This year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the victory in the World Anti-Fascist War.
This victory became an inspiration, giving confidence and courage to the colonial and semi-colonial countries of the world that had been invaded and oppressed in their struggle for national independence and liberation, the report notes.
The report stressed that the revolutionary theories and practices created by the Communist Party of China (CPC) during the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression provided the oppressed peoples of the world with a realistic and feasible path to liberation.
