The competition "City Energy" has started in the capital. Its goal is to find and implement advanced technologies in the field of energy, IT, robotics and ecology for the modernization of the housing and communal services of the capital. Applications will be accepted until September 30. The organizers of the competition are the Moscow Innovation Cluster (MIC) Foundation together with the State Budgetary Institution "Energetika".
"The City Energy competition is not only a search for applied technologies, but also a global joint effort to widely cover the topic of introducing environmentally friendly and high-tech developments in the capital. We provide a unique opportunity not just to propose an idea, but to test it in real urban conditions with our support," she noted.

Innovative solutions in three key areas are considered. In the energy sector, priority is given to energy saving projects in apartment buildings, energy storage systems and smart energy management technologies. In the IT and robotics sector, developments for monitoring urban infrastructure, robotic systems for performing tasks in the housing and communal services sector, cybersecurity solutions, as well as noise control technologies and possible pollution sources are in demand. In the Ecology nomination, projects are accepted to maintain the cleanliness of the urban environment, solutions for the secondary use of thermal energy, and the purification of water bodies.
Participants will have access to the expertise of specialized specialists, media support and the opportunity to implement their solutions in Moscow. The winners of the competition will be provided with comprehensive support from the city to develop their projects. They will also be able to apply for a grant of up to four million rubles to compensate for piloting costs.
"The "City Energy" competition is the result of effective interdepartmental cooperation between the Moscow Government departments within the framework of the state program for energy conservation and increasing the energy efficiency of the capital until 2035. The State Budgetary Institution "Energetika" contacted the MIC Foundation to find innovative solutions for their testing and further use in the sphere of housing and communal services and energy in Moscow. We received not only expert support in finding real technologies, but also jointly organized a competition aimed at identifying environmentally friendly, energy-efficient, high-tech developments and their subsequent implementation in the capital," said Yuri Kondakov, Director of the State Budgetary Institution "Energetika".
Organizations with the status of a participant or partner of the Moscow Innovation Cluster can participate as competitors. A mandatory requirement is the availability of a finished product or technology with a technological maturity level of at least TRL-5.
