ISLAMABAD, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) — Rain-related incidents in Pakistan have killed 31 people and injured 26 others from Sunday to Monday, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said on Monday.

The eastern province of Punjab recorded the highest number of deaths, with 25 people killed, including eight children and two women. Four people died in the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while one child died in Balochistan in the southwest. Another death was reported in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir.

Further rainfall is expected in the coming days, which could increase the risk of flooding and landslides. –0–
