BEIJING, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) — Wang Huning, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met in Beijing on Monday with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Trinh, who is in China to attend the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit.
General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Vietnam this year and outlined a new grand plan to deepen the China-Vietnam community of shared future, which is of strategic significance, Wang Huning said at the meeting.
China, he said, is ready to cooperate with Vietnam to accelerate the implementation of the results of the said visit and comprehensively promote practical cooperation in various fields.
The CPPCC National Committee is willing to join efforts with the Vietnamese side to promote the construction of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future, Wang Huning added.
Pham Minh Trinh noted that developing relations with China is a strategic choice and top priority for Vietnam. Vietnam highly values China for promoting global economic growth through its own high-quality development.
