TIANJIN, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) — Global governance is at a new crossroads, Chinese President Xi Jinping said Monday.
Speaking at the "SCO Plus" meeting in Tianjin, north China, Xi Jinping said this year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory in the World Anti-Fascist War and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations.
After 80 years, the spirit of the times – peace, development, cooperation, win-win – remains unchanged, but the Cold War mentality, power politics and protectionism are still raging, Xi Jinping noted.
