BEIJING, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) — China has extended invitations to foreign friends who contributed to the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression or relatives of their deceased to attend commemorative events to be held in Beijing on Sept. 3 to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, Assistant Foreign Minister Hong Lei said Thursday.
According to him, a total of 50 people will attend the events, including the aforementioned foreign friends and representatives of the family members of those who have already passed away. These guests will come from 14 countries, including Russia, the United States, Great Britain, France and Canada. -0-
