The grand opening of the festival will take place on August 30 at 11:00 in Yekaterininsky Park. Lectures will begin at 13:00, the first of which is "Pets in the City" by Alexander Gakov, inspector of the State Inspectorate for Supervision of Animal Handling of the Moscow Veterinary Committee. City residents will be told how to become a responsible owner and will be reminded of the rules for walking and keeping pets in the capital.
At 14:00, Elena Aleshina, head of the Kuntsevo Veterinary Clinic, will answer popular questions about traveling with tailed friends. The second part of the lecture will be devoted to electronic documents and services for animal owners.
Current advice on feeding dogs and cats will be given at 15:00 by Anastasia Martynova, a veterinarian at the Soviet Veterinary Clinic, in a lecture entitled "First Steps. Proper Feeding is the Key to a Long and Healthy Life for Your Pet."
The day will end with live music: cover band Yellowstone and Eric Zenkov will perform on stage from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Garden named after N.E. Bauman
On August 31, all thematic areas in the N.E. Bauman Garden will be open from 11:00 to 19:00. You are invited to talk to specialists in the lecture area from 13:00 to 16:00.
At 13:00, Denis Naumenko, Chief Inspector of the State Inspectorate for Supervision of Animal Handling, will talk about humane treatment of pets, as well as requirements and prohibitions for keeping them.
At 14:00 the conversation will be continued by Elena Vasyutina, a veterinarian at the Kuntsevo Veterinary Clinic, touching on the topic of the first steps of a novice owner and revealing the secrets of the correct diet for animals.
And at 15:00 Lyudmila Yakubova, a veterinarian at the Kuntsevo Veterinary Clinic, will discuss the nuances of traveling with pets, give advice on preparing for the trip and completing the necessary documents.
The festival will end with a performance by Laura Divo and the Cyberball group, as well as a concert by singer Eric Zenkov. The musical part will take place from 17:00 to 19:00.

In addition, the festival will feature themed areas. At master classes, you will be offered to make designer collars for dogs and paint shoppers, and at the dog training area, you will be able to get advice from dog trainer Valeria Popova and practice useful skills.
The daily work of veterinarians and the full range of capabilities of the capital's state veterinary service will be demonstrated by a festive photo exhibition, and you can take your own photos in the art photo zone. A recreation area will be open throughout the day – dog parking, a children's playground and a dry pool.
Special attention will be paid to four-legged friends: at the veterinary center, pets are welcome for free care and preventive procedures – rabies vaccination, microchipping, claw trimming and ear cleaning. Veterinarians will conduct a clinical examination and give owners the necessary recommendations.
You can get a furry friend at the exhibition of shelter cats and dogs. All pets are healthy, vaccinated and chipped, they are ready to become pets and go straight from the exhibition to new families.
The festival "Protect Your Pet" will be held as part of the "Summer in Moscow" project.
