BEIJING, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) — China on Wednesday announced plans to hold three press conferences and three group interviews to elaborate on preparations for the upcoming Victory Day celebrations.
The press briefings are organized by the Press Center for the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, located in the Beijing Media Center Hotel.
The first press conference is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday. According to a notice issued by the press center, senior officials from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Beijing government and the People's Liberation Army will give an update on the preparations for the events and answer questions from reporters.
