Li Yingying, a junior research fellow at the Institute of Eurasian Studies at the China Institute of International Studies, wrote in an article for the Tianjin Daily on August 19 that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is actively developing in new growth areas.
The SCO member states view digital transformation as a “catalyst” for economic development, actively promoting the interrelationship of digital infrastructure and data governance rules. China has participated in the investment and construction of a number of landmark projects, such as the Zhanatas Wind Power Plant in Kazakhstan and the Suki-Kinari Hydroelectric Power Station in Pakistan, which have significantly contributed to the sustainable development of the regional economy.
