St. Petersburg, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) — Ten unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were destroyed in Russia's Leningrad Region on Tuesday morning, the region's governor Alexander Drozdenko said.

The UAVs were shot down over the Kingisepp, Slantsy and Luzhsky districts of the region. There were no casualties, in the Slantsy district, the windows of three private houses and a car in the village of Zagorje were damaged by shrapnel.

The UAV threat in the Leningrad Region airspace was announced on Tuesday morning and lifted a few hours later. Mobile Internet speeds were reduced in the region, and temporary restrictions on the entry and exit of aircraft were introduced at St. Petersburg's Pulkovo Airport. -0-
