BEIJING, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) — The plenary meeting of the 13th session of the Bureau of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) was held in Beijing on Tuesday morning, where proposals related to formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030) were submitted.
Wang Huning, a member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, attended the meeting.
Fourteen members of the CPPCC National Committee Bureau delivered speeches on the topic. Their proposals included attaching greater strategic importance to developing new productive forces in light of local conditions, taking the comprehensive expansion of domestic demand as a strategic planning basis, promoting the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy, and stimulating consumption.
Their proposals also included, among other things, enhancing innovation capacity in science and technology, promoting all-round rural development, establishing a support system for high-quality people's development, improving the social governance system, and building a "Beautiful China" where man and nature coexist harmoniously.
