Moscow, August 25 /Xinhua/ — In Russia, more than 2.5 billion rubles will be allocated for state support of the educational loan program in 2025, the press service of the Russian government reported on Monday.
Under this program, students can take out a long-term loan at 3 percent per annum, and the federal budget compensates banks for the low rate. Borrowers can pay only interest on the loan during the entire period of study and 9 months after graduation. The rest of the loan must be repaid within 15 years.
The amount allocated to support the program in 2025 will help approximately 214 thousand students get an education. –0–
