Arshan City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, has a permanent population of just over 30,000 and an urban area of only 11 square kilometers. However, it has a vast land area of nearly 7,400 square kilometers, including 1 UNESCO Global Geopark, 2 national forest parks, and 3 national wetlands.
Arshan's green cover reaches more than 95%. In the height of summer, it is an ideal place to escape the heat. From June to August, the average daily maximum temperature here is only 22°C.
The local volcanic lakes, mineral springs and snow-covered forest expanses attract more and more tourists.
