BEIJING, Aug. 24 (Xinhua) — China's railway passenger traffic reached 823 million from July 1, when the summer tourist season started, to Aug. 23, data from state-owned China Railway Corp. showed Sunday.
According to KZhD, this figure increased by 6.4 percent compared to the same period in 2024.
During the specified period, the average daily passenger flow on the country's railways amounted to 15.23 million person-times.
The summer travel rush is usually a busy season for the rail network, with students returning home and an increase in family and holiday travel during the summer holidays.
