Tashkent, Aug. 23 /Xinhua/ — Uzbekistan's fruit and vegetable exports exceeded $1 billion in the first seven months of this year, local media reported on Saturday, citing the country's National Statistical Committee.
In January-July of this year, Uzbekistan exported 1.3 million tons of fruit and vegetable products worth more than $1 billion to foreign countries.
Compared to the same period in 2024, the export volume increased by 5.2 percent or 62.9 thousand tons, and in value terms, the growth was 35.2 percent.
In November 2024, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan reported that in 2025, the export of fruits and vegetables could reach $3.5 billion. –0–
