Moscow, Aug. 23 (Xinhua) — Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov held a telephone conversation with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov on Saturday, discussing the bilateral agenda and the latest developments in the South Caucasus, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported.
“The heads of the foreign policy departments exchanged their initial assessments of the meeting of the bilateral intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, co-chaired by the deputy heads of government of the Russian Federation and Azerbaijan, held the day before in Astrakhan,” the Russian department said in a statement on its Telegram channel.
According to the report, S. Lavrov and D. Bayramov also discussed “the latest events in the South Caucasus region and the interaction of Moscow and Baku on multilateral platforms.” –0–
