TASHKENT, Aug. 23 (Xinhua) — The number of foreign citizens visiting Uzbekistan increased by 48.9 percent in the first seven months of this year compared to the same period last year, local media reported on Saturday, citing the country's National Statistical Committee.
According to statistics, 6.3 million foreign citizens visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes in January-July 2025. As noted, this figure increased by almost 2.1 million people compared to the same period last year.
During the period under review, China ranked seventh in terms of the number of tourists entering the country – 103,158 people.
Let us recall that in 2024, 74.3 thousand tourists entered Uzbekistan from China. –0–
